Huskies lead country in "Net Points per Drive"

+

"Net Points per Drive" is the difference between "Offensive Points per Drive" and "Defensive Points per Drive". After the offensive explosion vs. the Ducks, UW is now second in the country in offensive efficiency-averaging 3.88 points each time they get the ball. (Texas Tech is #1.) And on the defense, they allow and average of less than a point per drive-or, in other words, it takes the opponent 7 drives to get 7 points. That is good for fifth behind Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Florida.

Changes to recruiting being proposed

+

The possibility of 2 early signing periods- one as early as the June between the player's junior and senior season, the other in December (to coincide with the JC signing period)-are being proposed. The controversial satellite camps are being addressed with several proposed restrictions. And there is talk of adding a 10th coach.

There will be no green in sight which should make for an interesting contrast to the colors that their fans will be wearing on Saturday.

Should the Pac12 hope that UW wins?

+

I'm not sure that I agree that UW is the best hope for a Pac12 team making the playoffs. But a UW win will certainly put UW in the national spotlight with a feel-good story along with an exciting brand of football.
