All We Hear Is Purple: Coming Down

Season ends on a low note, but Husky fans have reason to feel good

NCAA Football: CFP National Championship-Washington at Michigan Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Hello, and welcome, to the post-National Championship Game edition of All We Hear Is Purple.

On this episode, Mark Schafer joins Andrew Berg to discuss what went wrong against Michigan and why the Huskies never seemed to get properly on track. They weigh in on injuries, lineups, and missed opportunities through the game. Mark also offers a first-person perspective of the trip to Houston, meeting numerous past and current Huskies, and the mess that was NRG Stadium’s event management.

Mark and Andrew also look ahead to the offseason. With Nick Saban’s retirement, they talk about candidates for the Alabama job, including (gulp) Kalen DeBoer. They also talk about the Huskies roster after draft declarations, retirements, and transfers in and out. All told, it looks like another promising season for the Dawgs as long as things don’t get completely upended in the next few weeks.

As always, thanks for listening, and go Dawgs!
