Happy New Year’s Day Dawg fans. The Husky coaches got some good news when 3-star 2025 defensive tackle Josiah Sharma from Inderkum HS, CA committed to UW today.
Happy New year! 2023 does not owe me nothing! My family and I has had an exceptional year and 2024 has started off GREAT. I am pleased to announce that I have decided to choose University of Washington as my college home. Thank you all that has believed in me, pic.twitter.com/786b440X5X— Josiah Sharma ( Suga ) (@josiah_sharma) January 1, 2024
Listed at 6’5” and around 295 pounds, Sharma held offers from Arizona, WSU, and Nevada. 247 Sports has him rated as the 58th best defensive lineman in the country. The Huskies have honed in on Sharma for a while (offering him in May). He visited the campus to take in Washington’s win over Oregon earlier this season, his first ever live college football game. Obviously it made an impression on the DL who goes by “Suga Bear”. This being Sugar Bowl day is a fitting time to make his announcement.
Sharma is the 2nd commit in the 2025 class (joining 3-star quarterback Jackson Kollock).
