It is now Week 15 of the NFL season, and we are officially in the stretch drive of the regular season. With the playoff picture becoming even clearer, some of our former Dawgs are really standing above the rest of the competition.

Let’s start in Cincinnati, where the Bengals continue to operate without their normal starter Joe Burrow. That meant that for the 4th straight week, Jake Browning got the start. And boy, did he deliver a stellar performance Saturday against his former team! He finished the game at 29-42 for 324 yards and 2 touchdowns with an interception, as the Bengals completed the comeback, winning 27-24 in overtime. Following the game, however, he had to submit to a random drug test, ordered by the league. It seems Browning’s success has caught the attention of more than just Bengal and Husky fans! Drew Sample also played and couldn’t haul in his one target.

For the Vikings, Byron Murphy had a solid game, recording 6 tackles, 5 solo, and a tackle for loss.

Moving to Detroit, where the Lions hosted the Broncos, Levi Onwuzurike recorded 1 solo tackle as the Lions emerged victorious 42-17. On Sunday in Cleveland, the Bears took on the Browns. Kyler Gordon continued his ascension into the upper echelon of NFL defensive backs with another solid performance, recording 7 tackles, 6 of them solo. The Browns ultimately emerged victorious, 20-17.

In Lambeau Field, it was all quiet on the Three Dawg Night front, as Vea, Gaines and Tryon-Shoyinka were kept in check by the Packers. Tryon-Shoyinka recorded 2 tackles, 1 solo, Vea recorded 2 tackles, and Gaines recorded 1. The Bucs won comfortably, 34-20 over the Packers.

Perhaps the play of the day came in the Titans loss to the Texans in Tennessee, as Elijah Molden, in addition to recording 3 solo tackles and 2 pass deflections, took an interception back 44 yards to the house, wearing Houston Oilers powder blue. That’s your pro Dawg play of the week! Despite this, the Titans lost a heartbreaker in overtime to Houston, 19-16.

Despite the Chiefs’ win over the Pats, 27-17, Trent McDuffie was uncharacteristically quiet, only recording a single solo tackle. On the other side, Myles Bryant was very active, posting 5 tackles, 4 of them solo. Going to SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, where the Rams took on the Commanders, Puka Nacua had 5 catches for 50 yards, and carried the ball once for 3 yards, as the Rams emerged victorious, 28-20.

In Glendale, the 49ers took on the home Cardinals. Budda Baker continued his run of production, recording 5 tackles, 3 of them solo, and Ezekiel Turner recorded one tackle, as the 49ers won, 45-29.

In Buffalo, the Bills played host to the Cowboys. Taylor Rapp paced Buffalo in tackles, with 8, 6 of them solo, and 1 for loss, as the Bills won, 31-10.

On Monday Night, the Eagles travel to Seattle to take on the Seahawks and Will Dissly. We’ll see if we’re in for another Monday Night Massacre like in 2005, or if the Seahawks offense continues to be stuck in neutral.
