The Washington Huskies were able to wrap up week three of college football with a commanding 52-3 victory over Arkansas State, picking up their first win of the new year which in turn made NFL Sunday a whole lot more enjoyable for previously stressed out Husky fans.

After Carolina Panther Shaq Thompson was last week's best performer, he went out and recorded 4 tackles in a 26-7 win over the New Orleans Saints - Desmond Trufant had 2 tackles and a pass deflection for NOLA while Keith Taylor recorded a tackle for Carolina.

The brightest performance of week 2 came from Taylor Rapp who had 9 tackles and got credit for half of a sack that he shared with Greg Gaines during the Los Angeles Rams 27-24 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Along with the shared sack, Gaines finished with 2 tackles on the afternoon. Jacob Eason saw action but had a rough outing, going just 2/5 on the day for 25 yards and an interception.

Defending Superbowl champion Vita Vea and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers continued their winning ways by dominating the Atlanta Falcons 48-25. Vea had 5 tackles and a pass deflection which led to an interception, meanwhile Joe Tryon-Shoyinka recorded 2 tackles in his second career game.

It’s no surprise that Budda Baker was a busy man as he helped push the Arizona Cardinals past the Minnesota Vikings in a 34-33 nailbiter, he recorded 8 tackles with two of them being for a loss of yards. Alongside him was Bryon Murphy who had three tackles in the win.

The Miami Dolphins had a brutal outing where they were blanketed 35-0 by the Buffalo Bills but both Myles Gaskin and Salvon Ahmed were able to find some yards against a stifling defense. Gaskin had 5 carries for 25 yards along with 4 catches for 21 yards while Ahmed carried the ball 6 times and picked up 17 yards.

The most impactful game on the city of Seattle of course was the clash between the Seahawks and Titans at Lumen Field. The Titans were able to come from behind and steal the win and Elijah Molden finished with two tackles as a contribution.

In a close 30-29 loss against the Washington Football Team, Danny Shelton recorded a tackle for the New York Giants. Also suffering a close loss was Tristan Vizcaino and the Los Angeles Chargers who fell 20-17 to the Dallas Cowboys. Vizcaino knocked in 3/4 fields goal with the longest being from 46 yards.

Last but not least, Cory Littleton recorded 5 tackles which helped guide the Las Vegas Raiders past the Steelers in a 26-17 upset win.

See you next week!
