Woof Alert: Huskies Land 3-Star Local Wideout

Washington has gotten a verbal commitment from Emerald Ridge’s Denzel Boston

NCAA Football: Stanford at Washington Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Huskies got some good news today when 3-star wide receiver Denzel Boston from Emerald Ridge HS, WA committed to UW. The Huskies offered Boston last week after seeing him recently at their rising stars camp and he impressed enough to get an offer from the Huskies. Listed at 6’3” and around 180 pounds Boston’s strengths are his size and ball skills (ability to high point a football). The Huskies were able to beat out ASU, WSU, and Arizona for his commitment.

With only one other wide receiver in the class and the Huskies only having 8 scholarship wideouts they were more than likely looking at adding another receiver if they could make the numbers work (they may lose Bynum if he declares but everyone else returns assuming no one transfers). Boston fits the frame the Huskies have been searching for and in a few years he will be a key cog in the Huskies offense. Last season Boston accounted for 34 catches, good for 553 yards (16.3 yard average) and 7 touchdowns.

Boston is the 11th commit in the class for 2022. That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
