The media weren’t allowed at yesterday’s off-site practice for UW but they were for several NFL Dawg standouts

Football Dots

  • Yesterday was the first practice closed to the media and was off-site while today is an off-day so we get a 2-day respite from any additional injuries or major developments.
  • Except we still have a little bit of injury discussion from Mike Vorel yesterday discussing the rapidly diminishing depth at the inside linebacker position.
  • Former local sports radio personality Mike Gastineau has a new book coming out about the 1991 UW championship season.
  • The Athletic’s college writers have their conference preview with over/under and champion picks.
  • Bill Connelly put out his list of the 25 most important players for the upcoming season. Dylan Morris was an honorable mention in the “Quarterbacks with a potential game-changing leap in them” category along with 2 other Pac-12 players.
  • 247 Sports released their initial top-100 for the class of 2024 (I know, we’re old) and it includes 4 players from the state in the top-70 overall plus 2 in the top-25 (there are 32 five-stars annually).
  • Several NFL Huskies made meaningful contributions in training camps across the country

  • The Huskies made the Final 6 for 4-star SF Chisom Okpara who is set to decide his college choice in the next couple of months.
  • Get that November 15th home game against Texas Southern on the calendar now!
