Good morning, here’s some dots!
- Christian Caple looks into how Washington’s receivers and coaches learn from LSU’s 2019 offseason receiver training, and their quest to emulate it (and hopefully achieve similar improvements).
Dylan Morris closed today's practice with consecutive strikes of 29 yards to Rome Odunze, 26 yards to Terrell Bynum and 20 yards to Bynum again for a TD. UW started at its 12-yard line with 1:18 left, down three. Very impressive sequence for Morris, who has been coming on strong.

Coming off a Pac-12 title and first Final Four since 2013, @UWVolleyball earns #4 ranking in preseason @AVCAVolleyball poll, by far the highest in #Pac12VB. Huskies open their season 11 days from now in Columbus, OH:

In case you missed it, Homefield’s dropping a new Washington collection on Saturday:
Washington fans: wondering what all the fuss is about? We’re going to release the most beautiful vintage UW apparel collection you’ve ever seen this Saturday at 9am, PT.

Nope, don’t like that:
Couple injuries today to monitor: ILB Daniel Heimuli was helped off after going down during a run defense drill. Had ice on his left knee later. WR Jalen McMillan left with a trainer appearing to tend to his right hand.

UW freshman DT Kuao Peihopa showed up to today’s practice with a walking boot on his right foot. Had been perhaps UW’s most impressive true freshman in camp.

Sounds like Jacob Eason is carrying over his pretty alright (yet not without a few Very Eason Moments) NFL debut on Sunday to practice today:
Crisp start to 11-on-11 work this morning for Jacob Eason. 7-for-8, including a nice sideline completion to Michael Strachan, who’s now seeing first-team reps.
— Zak Keefer (@zkeefer) August 17, 2021
I have Eason 11-for-13 in team drills so far today. He’s looked very good. Accurate. Decisive.

How much did Jimmy Lake have to pay Ryan Leaf to wear that shirt??
Thank you for sharing your story with our team! @RyanDLeaf gave us an uplifting message and inspiring story! You are always welcome in Husky Territory! #BowDown pic.twitter.com/UgmlOi3KC4

Seriously though, Dawgs and Cougs can put aside the rivalry for a second to appreciate A) what Leaf’s overcome and B) Jimmy bringing him in to share that.
More praise for Bralen Trice:
Jaxson Kirkland was asked who on UW's defense gives him the most trouble. Answer: Ryan Bowman and Bralen Trice.
— Mike Vorel (@mikevorel) August 16, 2021
Jaxson Kirkland said Bralen Trice has an arsenal in his pass rush and he - along with Ryan Bowman - has been tough for him to block in camp

Jacobe Covington got a significant amount of run with the first-team defense Monday

Do good things, don’t do bad things, and bow down to Washington.
