Happy Sunday Husky fans. As we discussed yesterday the Huskies were able to flip 3 star defensive back TJ Hall from San Joaquin Memorial HS, CA from Arizona after offering him earlier this week. Hall is the first defensive back in the 2022 class, and 10th commit in the class. The Huskies were keeping an eye on Hall and after a few other prospects choose to commit elsewhere the Huskies decided to pull the trigger and offer Hall.
The Huskies also extended another new 2022 offer this last week. 3 star wide receiver Denzel Boston from Emerald Ridge HS, WA was offered by the Huskies while he was on campus visiting UW with several of his FSP teammates. Listed at 6’3 and around 180 pounds, Boston is rated as the 162nd best wide receiver in the country (by 247sports). The Huskies currently only have 1 wide receiver committed in the 2022 class (Germie Bernard), and getting a 2nd wide receiver is fairly important as the Huskies only have 8 current scholarship receivers. Boston is a bigger wide receiver that may not have blazing speed, but he has good ball skills and is able to win jump balls when the ball comes his way. The Huskies are probably in the drivers seat in landing Boston, but they are battling WSU, Arizona, and ASU. Boston is probably going to make a quick decision and if that’s the case the Huskies should feel confident that they will land him.
The Huskies also extended an offer to 2024 offensive lineman Isendre Ahfua from O’Dea HS, WA. Listed at 6’5” and around 330 pounds Ahfua already holds offers from Alabama, Georgia, Texas, and USC. Ahfua is one of the top lineman in the 2024 as evidenced by his offer sheet, and the Huskies would love to keep their pipeline into O’Dea going and land Ahfua, but there is a long way to go in his recruitment.
That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
