Recruiting Roundup: Huskies Get Their 2022 QB

Happy Sunday Husky fans. The Huskies have been making some moves on the recruiting trail recently.

Yesterday the Huskies got their QB for the 2022 class when they landed a commitment from 3 star quarterback Jackson Stratton from La Jolla HS, CA. Stratton got an offer after having a solid junior season, and also checking out the Huskies last weekend to check out the spring game. Stratton has great size and good speed for the position and he looks like a guy who could challenge for playing time after a couple of years.

The Huskies also extended an offer to Liona Lefau from Kahuku HS, HI. Listed at 6’1” and around 210 pounds, Lefau is rated as the 15th best inside linebacker in the 2023 class. With offers already from Michigan, Oregon, and Utah, the Huskies will have some stiff competition to land Lefau. Last season Lefau played up in Seattle this last season for the 5 games (since they didn’t play last year in Hawaii).

The other piece of news over the last week was that 3 star running back Tre Wisner from Connally HS, TX narrowed his list of top schools to a top 10. His list includes LSU, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Florida State, Oregon, UW and Texas. The Huskies have a connection to Wisner’s high school (on the current roster the Huskies have Jay’Veon Sunday who graduated from Connally in 2020. Wisner, who is a 2023 running back, looks like he is one of the top running backs on the Huskies list in the 2023 class.

Happy Mother’s Day to all moms and that is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
