It was a busy weekend for UW sports and will be a busy week ahead with the NFL Draft beginning on Thursday

Washington had practice on both Friday and Saturday and numerous people had numerous thoughts:

Basketball Dots

  • New women’s head coach Tina Langley announced her full assistant coaching staff with the additions of 3 new staff members.
  • The Yakima Herald profiled MarJon Beauchamp who is once again a UW recruiting target after originally planning to skip college and head straight to the NBA. Beauchamp is playing with Yakima Valley College at the moment to get in reps while completing coursework for the fall.

  • It turns out Jake Locker and Chris Petersen have it figured out. Locker made $12 million in salary over 4 years plus whatever he made in endorsements then moved back home and is living exactly the life he wants while hopefully having preserved his long-term physical well being not getting the crap kicked out of him anymore behind Tennessee’s offensive line.
