Recruiting Roundup: Huskies Offer A Couple Of Local Running Backs

NCAA Football: Las Vegas Bowl-Boise State vs Washington Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Sunday Husky fans. Husky coaches have been busy getting ready for spring practice, but they have been also keeping tabs on players and watching some film. A couple of players who the Huskies have been checking on got some good news when the Huskies extended some offers.

2023 4 star running back Jayden Limar from Lake Stevens HS, WA put up some monster stats in helping his team to a 4-0 record. In his last game against Glacier Peak, Limar accounted for 5 touchdowns with 141 yards rushing on 14 carries. With offers from Utah and Oregon State, Limar is already rated as one of the top backs in the 2023 class (#9 in the country by 247sports). The Huskies appear to have the inside track in Limar’s recruitment and they would love to add him to the 2023 class. Limar is an every-down back who has good speed and is a downhill runner.

The Huskies also extended an offer to 2024 running back Jason Brown from O’Dea HS, WA. Listed at around 5’10” and 180 pounds, Brown is already one of the top running backs in the 2024 class. As a freshman for O’Dea he helped his team defeat Eastside Catholic this last week. Brown already holds offers from UW, USC, Utah, and Nevada. The Huskies have been Brown’s dream school and a school he has rooted for since he was a kid.

The last piece of news that I wanted to share is that there were several big name prospects at the Husky spring practice yesterday. Among the attendees were 2021 5 star defensive lineman JTT Tuimoloau (who is still undecided), 5 star 2023 defensive end Jayden Wayne, 2022 4 star inside linebacker Tristan Dunn, 2022 3 star tight end commit Chance Bogan, and 2024 running back Jason Brown.

That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
