Happy Sunday Husky fans. High school football season has finally kicked off in most of California and also Washington state. On Friday night Sam Huard, the soon to be Husky slinger, accounted for 7 touchdown passes including a long touchdown pass to Jabez Tinae (who also is going to be heading to Montlake with Huard. When you watch his throws you can see how great of touch Huard has on all levels of throws and Husky fans should be excited to see him over the next few years. As more recruits start playing I will have more info about their season and how players are looking.

This last week also saw the Husky coaching staff extend a few new offers to some 2022 prospects.
4 star cornerback Terrance Brooks from John Paul II HS, TX received a Husky offer this last week. Rated by 247sports as the 34th best cornerback in the 2022 class, Brooks holds offers from the likes of Alabama, LSU, Texas, Texas A&M and Oregon. Brooks father played in the NFL for a few seasons, and Brooks looks like he might also be a future NFL player. Listed at 6’0” and around 185 pounds Brooks is a cover corner who has good instincts and ball skills. The Huskies will have some stiff competition for him and they will need to get him on campus in order to have a fighting chance to land him.

3 star defensive lineman Chris McClellan from Owasso HS, Ok. Listed at 6’4” and around 270 pounds McClellan currently holds offers from Florida, Oregon, Oklahoma State and several other schools. The 2022 recruit is rated by 247 sports as the 23rd best defensive tackle in the country. The Huskies don’t typically head into Oklahoma to offer recruits but McClellan has a good frame and his film reminds me a lot of a player like Levi O who can play outside but has the size and speed to be disruptive inside. The Huskies will also need to get McClellan on campus to have a shot at landing him.
Jr. year in the books, thank God for an injury free year!! Back to the lab...
