Recruiting Roundup: Huskies Set to Host A 2022 Cornerback & Other Notes

NCAA Football: Washington at Stanford Neville E. Guard-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Sunday Husky fans. The Husky football team was able to pull out a close victory last night and suddenly there is some hope left for the Husky season. The same is true on the recruiting front, and there has been a few new developments:

3 star cornerback Jalon Peoples from Cedar Hill HS, TX recently narrowed his recruitment down to Kansas State and Washington. Rated as the 43rd best cornerback in the country, Peoples has set his official visit to Washington for the Arizona State game. Listed at 6’0” and around 175 pounds Peoples is more of a cover corner (think Sidney Jones) when you watch him play. The Huskies have 1 defensive back already in the class (TJ Hall), and they would like to add at least 1 more cornerback. It sounds like Peoples will make his decision after he officially visits both UW and Kansas State and I would expect a decision sometime before December.

The Huskies also extended a new 2022 offer to 3 star athlete Carson Tabaracci from Park City HS, UT. Listed at 6’2 and around 225 pounds Tabaracci is being recruited to UW at linebacker. The Huskies offered Tabaracci a tad but later and will need to beat out Oregon, Notre Dame, USC, and Utah. 247sports has him rated as the 41st best athlete in the country. The Huskies would like to add at least 1 linebacker in the 2022 class after they some guys to attrition, and Tabaracci would definitely be a good pickup.

The last piece of news is that 3 star Juco cornerback Keionte Scott from Snow College, Utah recently narrowed his list of schools to 12. The Huskies were included in the top 12 and if they can get a visit from him they have a good shot at landing the best Juco cornerback in the country.

That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
