Friday Dots: The search for Larry Scott’s replacement begins

Scott will step down a full year before his contract is set to expire

The Pac-12 announced on Wednesday that the end of Larry Scott’s tenure was a mutual parting of ways.

.

The Dawgman guys give their reactions to Pac 12 commissioner Larry Scott having his contract terminated in June.

They also chat about what the loss of Pete Kwiatkowski means to the Husky football program and gave some thoughts on his future replacement.

Oregon president Michael Schill, Washington president Ana Mari Cauce, and WSU president Kirk Schulz form the conference’s executive committee, which guides the Pac-12 CEO Group on important decisions.

“Coach Pete, Jennifer Cohen, Coach Lake, every coach, player, former and staff member, thank you for your belief and trust in me. I hope I was able to make a positive impact as you did on me! I am going to miss you all.”

Washington will host Arizona State — without fans — at 3 p.m. Friday, The teams will play again at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Washington’s defensive duo of Ethan Bartlow and Freddy Kleemann were selected in the MLS SuperDraft Thursday. Bartlow was taken sixth overall by the Houston Dynamo, while Kleemann was drafted 11th overall by Austin FC. This is the first time in Washington history that two Huskies have been drafted in the first round in the same year.

The Washington women’s basketball team’s game at Oregon State has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 26 at 4:00 p.m.

The contest was originally scheduled for Friday, but was postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Huskies’ program. Washington will play (as scheduled) on Sunday, Jan. 24 at Oregon at 2:00 p.m. That game will be televised on the Pac-12 Network.

Marcus Tsohonis finished the game with 27 points on 9-of-13 shooting from the field. Four of his points came during a 6-0 run that turned a 75-75 tie into an 81-75 UW advantage with 1:04 remaining.

.

Before the December matchup against the Buffs, the Huskies had only broken the 70-point barrier twice. Since that game, the UW’s done it four times, as junior guards Erik Stevenson and Jamal Bey found their range.
