Former Huskies Set to Reunite in the NFC Championship & at Fresno State

Happy Monday Husky fans! That’s about as much energy as I can muster for a Monday morning before my 4th cup of coffee, so let’s just jump into the Dots.

Football Dots:

  • Sunday saw the teams of a few Pro Dawgs advance to the Conference Championship round with Kevin King’s Green Bay Packers slated to play Jaydon Mickens, Vita Vea (IR), and Benning Potoa’e’s (Practice Squad) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  • Late last week we learned Ty Jones’ transfer destination will be Fresno State. Jones joins former Husky QB Jake Haener on the Bulldogs’ roster. We wish him the best of luck at Fresno as a friend of UWDP.

  • Christian Caple of The Athletic ($) jumped into Way-Too-Early Season with his 10 predictions for the Huskies’ 2021 season.

  • Coach K made a few moves on the recruiting trail with 2021 PWO offers to Carter Neuman of Sheldon HS (OR) and Mathieu VanSteenlandt of North Royalton HS (OH). Both are OLB/Edge prospects who figure to be long-term developmental prospects in our stacked rotation.

Basketball Dots:

  • In another close but disappointing game, our Mens’ team lost to the Bruins on Saturday 76-81.
  • As Max sums up in his game recap, one consolation was that we showed signs of life on both sides of the ball and even held a sizable lead at HT. For me, I’m just glad we covered the opening spread...
