The Huskies got good news today when 3-star safety Vincent Nunley from Freedom HS, CA committed to UW.

Listed at 6’1” and around 180 pounds Nunley committed to UW over offers from Kansas and Utah. He joins Dyson McCutcheon and Zakhari Spears as defensive backs to commit to Washington in the 2021 class.
During his junior year Nunley accounted for 25 tackles and 5 interceptions. 247 Sports has Nunley rated as the 98th best safety in the 2021 class (when you watch him play it does look like he’s underrated). The Huskies have some good defensive backs already in the program, but Nunley looks like he will be a good free safety in a few years for the Huskies.
The Huskies have a pair of seniors at safety in Brandon McKinney and Isaiah Gilchrist who would normally be expected to graduate. However, with the uncertainty over college football and the eligibility mulligan, its unclear how many spots will truly open up. The class of 2022 is loaded at defensive back and it looks like the Huskies may try and take a couple in the 2022 class.
Nunley is the 15th commit in the 2021 class. That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
