A Look At 2022 Offensive Line Recruiting

NCAA Football: Fiesta Bowl-Penn State vs Washington Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Sunday Husky fans. The 2021 Husky class is at a standstill for now (they are waiting on 2 recruits to make their decisions- 5 star defensive lineman JT Tuimoloau and 5 star wide receiver Emeka Egbuka). This morning I wanted to look at offensive line recruiting for the 2022 class. The Huskies will more than likely bring in 3-4 offensive lineman in the 2022 class and fortunately it’s a banner year in the state of WA. Offensive line coach Scott Huff is one of the better recruiters on the Husky staff and he is probably licking his chops at the thought of so much talent in the state of WA.

4 star offensive tackle Josh Conerly from Rainier Beach HS, WA is a big-time recruit in the 2022 class. Listed at 6’5” and around 270 pounds Conerly is rated as the 50th best player in the 2022 class. Right now he has offers from Alabama, USC, Oregon, UW and Oklahoma. The Huskies are considered the favorite to land Conerly who looks like a future left tackle (with All American potential). The Huskies will push hard for Conerly until he makes his decision.

4 star offensive tackle Malik Agbo from Todd Beamer HS, WA is another big-time offensive lineman from the state of WA. Listed at 6’5” and around 295 pounds 247 sports has Agbo rated as the 226th player in the country. Currently Agbo has offers from Alabama, LSU, Oregon, and UW. Agbo isn’t really leaning anywhere right now.

4 star offensive guard Dave Iuli from Puyallup HS, WA is yet another big-time offensive lineman from the state of WA. Listed at 6’5” and around 330 pounds Iuli is rated as the 6th best offensive guard in the country. Iuli currently has offers from LSU, Oklahoma, Oregon, and UW. The Huskies have to be considered the favorite for Iuli, but there is a long way to go (he had a fairly significant injury last year that he is recovering from).

3 star offensive guard Vega Ioane from Graham Kapowsin HS, WA is yet another heavily recruited offensive lineman from the state of WA. Listed at 6’4” and around 280 pounds Ioane holds offers from UCLA, ASU, and UW. If the Huskies have room they have to be considered the favorite (especially if they push for Ioane). 247sports has Ioane rated as the 14th best offensive guard in the 2022 class.

3 star offensive guard Mark Nabou from O’Dea HS, WA is another in state offensive lineman from the state of WA that the Huskies are recruiting. Listed at 6’4” and around 311 pounds Nabou is rated as the 16th best offensive guard in the country. Nabou currently holds offers from ASU, OSU, and UW but he is widely considered a Husky lean. Assuming that the Huskies keep pushing to land Nabou they should be able to reel in Nabou.

The Huskies have also offered 4 star offensive tackle Earnest Greene from St John Bosco (however it is probably considered a long shot that they would land him right now).

If I had to guess I would predict that the Huskies will land Conerly, Iuli, Ioane and Nabou (Agbo seems like he wants to leave the region).

That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp
