Husky Coaches Extend Another 2022 Offer & Other Notes

NCAA Football: Utah at Washington Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports

With Husky coaches waiting on several 2021 targets to make their decision: Those targets are 5 star defensive tackle JT Tuimoloau, 5 Star Wideout Emeka Egbuka, 4 star tight end Brock Bowers, 3 star safety Vincent Nunley, and a few other prospects. Bowers sounds like he is going to make his decision in the next couple of days. Right now it sounds like he is tore between UGA and The Huskies. If the Huskies can beat out UGA they would score a major victory on the recruiting front.

The Husky coaches have really started to focus on the 2022 class. They already have 1 commit in the 2022, in 4 star wideout Germie Bernard from Liberty HS, NV. So far the Huskies have extended 53 offers in the 2022 class. The Huskies are planning on taking another small class in 2022 (probably 18-20). 10 of those offers have been extended to prospects that are located in Washington state (compared to 11 offers in the 2021 class to Washington state prospects). The in-state 2021 class is very strong along the offensive line with 5 prospects garnering Husky offers. Those players are 4 star tackle Josh Cornerly from Rainier Beach HS, 4 star tackle Malik Agbo from Todd Beamer HS, 4 star guard Dave Iuli from Pullayup HS, 3 star guard Vega Iaone from Graham-Kapowsin HS, and 3 star guard Mark Nabou from O’Dea HS. The Huskies have some good options to pursue in state, but they do have some competition and it will be interested to see who they can reel in from that group.

Husky coaches just extended an offer to 4 star defensive back Jalil Tucker from Lincoln HS, CA. Listed at 6’0 and 180 pounds Tucker already holds offers from USC, Miami, Oregon, and ASU. 247sports has Tucker rated as the 68th best prospect in the country for 2022. Tucker is an explosive athlete that plays wide receiver and cornerback, but is being recruited as a defensive back. The Huskies have some stiff competition for Tucker but if they can get him to visit they will be a major factor in his recruitment.

That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
