All We Hear is Purple — The Unity Movement & Tight Ends

Andrew and Gabey share their thoughts on the Unity Movement and also talk tight end recruiting.

University Of Southern California Trojans Football

Hello and good afternoon, Gabey here. While waiting for news on the football season, the Pac-12 players’ negotiations with the conference, recruiting updates, and a certain former USC player who is maybe coming up to Washington (and who I name about five lines down), Andrew, Rob, and I decided we were just bored enough, and had just enough thoughts on current things to put together an episode.

We discuss:

  • The Pac12Unity movement and implications moving forward
  • We thought Nick Rolovich was cool but maybe he’s not but also maybe he’s not irredeemable but also his apology doesn’t give me confidence in his ability to hold himself accountable? (Still better than Leach, though, if we’re being honest...)
  • Tight ends! Specifically Brock Bowers, who’s a freak athlete but for whom I’m not getting my hopes up, and the bizarre saga of Jack Yary, who’s twice all but confirmed he’s coming to Washington. Also, how different of prospects they are and how either would fit with the Dawgs’ offense.
  • Schedule shenanigans
  • Pickleball
  • What even is a Dardanelle, anyway? (It turns out I knew the answer to this while Andrew just thought he knew the answer)

Check it out.

Also feel free to Twitter-follow Andrew, Rob, and/or me. Or UWDP right here.

Do good things, don’t do bad things, and bow down to Washington.
