Happy Sunday Husky fans. There isn’t much new going on for the 2021 class right now (the coaching staff is waiting for some of their bigger recruits to make their decision- I.e. 5 star defensive tackle JT Tuimoloau and 5 star wide receiver Emeka Egbuka). With all of that being said I thought it would be a good idea to talk about some 2022 who may end up being Huskies (in the next few months).
4 star offensive tackle Josh Conerly from Rainier Beach HS, WA is one of the best offensive tackles in the country. With offers from Alabama, Oregon, LSU, USC and several other schools, Conerly has lots of options to choose from when he ultimately makes his decision. The Huskies are the home town school for the 50th rated prospect per 247sports, and Conerly has built a strong relationship with offensive lineman Scott Huff. Listed at 6’5” and 270 pounds, Conerly has prototypical size for the position and the Huskies would love to add him to their roster. I’m not suggesting anything is imminent but I do expect that the Huskies will be able to reel in Conerly and add him to their 2022 commit list. (He has a very strong relationship with Scott Huff which is why I believe he will wind up a dawg).
4 star tight end Ryan Otton from Tumwater HS, WA is another in state 2022 recruit that the Huskies would like to add to their team (and are the strong favorites to add him). Listed at 6’6” and around 225 pounds Otton is rated as the 4th best tight end in the country per 247sports. With offers from ASU, Cal, and Northwestern the Huskies have some competition to land him. Over the next few months I do anticipate Otton potentially adding his name to the 2022 commit list for the Huskies. As an added advantage, in landing Otton, they do have his brother Cade Otton on the team right now.
3 star offensive guard Mark Nabou from O’Dea HS, WA is another recruit that the Huskies have targeted early in the 2022 class. Listed at 6’4” and around 311 pounds Nabou has great size for the offensive line (and as a guard more specifically). Nabou holds offers from Nevada, ASU, and UW. The Huskies are the prohibitive favorite for Nabou and they should add him to their 2022 class at some point.
3 star tight end Chance Bogan from Lincoln HS, WA holds a Husky offer and is one of the better tight ends in the 2022 class. Listed at 6’4” and around 205 pounds Bogan is rated as the 16th best tight end in the 2022 class. Bogan currently holds offers from Tennessee, Utah, ASU, Colorado, and UW. His father Curtis Bogan played for the Huskies back in the day, which should help the Huskies. Assuming the Huskies take 2 tight ends they should be able to land Bogan and Otton (who are different players: Otton is a more traditional tight end who can block and catch, whereas Bogan is more of a receiving tight end in the mold of former Husky Hunter Bryant).
The Huskies already have 4 star wide receiver Germie Bernard from Liberty HS, NV which was a great start to their 2022 class.
That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
