The Huskies got some good news today when 3 star running back Caleb Berry from Lufkin HS, TX committed to UW over offers from Arkansas, Nebraska, Boise State, and Texas Tech. Listed at 6’0 and around 210 pounds Berry is a bigger back with good speed.

Last year Berry accounted for 874 rushing yards on 154 carries (good for a 5.7 yard clip) and 15 touchdowns. The Huskies offered Berry back in May and they have been recruiting him heavily since. 247sports has Berry rated as the 43rd best running back in the country.

The Huskies have a pair of senior running backs in Sean McGrew and Kamari Pleasant so while they might stand pat with Berry at the position in this class it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them continue to pursue the other backs on their board as well.

Berry is the 12th commit in the 2021 class and the 4th commit on the offensive side of the ball.
