- The Athletic’s national recruiting spotlight by Ari Wasserman focused on the Huskies this week. He points out that UW’s in-state bounty gave the program a unique opportunity this year, but the coaching change and pandemic may limit their ability to take advantage of it.
- The Seattle Times published a piece by the LA Times’ Bill Plaschke on the risks of sports returning during the Covid pandemic. It’s not fun to think about, but he points out that leagues have to know when the time is right to pull the plug.
- If the 2021 recruiting class has you down, perhaps I could interest you in a shiny, uncommitted 2022 class. The Huskies recently offered mammoth O’Dea OL Mark Nabou. Dawgman has an interview with Nabou.
- Speaking of recruiting, 2021 is far from finished. Mike Martin at SI’s Husky Maven has a breakdown of who could be UW’s next commitment.
- Andrew Hammond of the Tacoma News Tribune looks at the CFB schedule and the impact Covid has already had and will continue to have on how it shapes up.
