Huskies Extend Several New Offers & Other Notes

NCAA Football: Southern California at Washington Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports

The Husky coaches have been busy working their recruiting board and extending several new offers while their board keeps changing.

4 star safety/wide receiver Titus Mokiao-Atimalala from James Campbell HS, HI was just offered by UW as a safety. Listed at 6’1” and 170 pounds Mokiao-Atimalala holds offers from Tennessee, Oregon, ASU, Cal, and Notre Dame. 247sports rates Mokiao-Atimalala as the 19th best athlete in the country and 2nd best prospect in Hawaii. When you watch him play you can see that he is a physical and active defender that plays a lot like former Husky Taylor Rapp. Right now the Huskies are battling Notre Dame primarily for his service but the Huskies have built a good pipeline into Hawaii and should be able to get a visit from him (and then see where his recruitment goes from there).

The Huskies also extended an offer in the 2022 to 4 star outside linebacker Cyrus Moss from Bishop Gorman HS, HI. Listed at 6’5” and around 200 Moss is one of the top prospects in the 2022 class and definitely a player to watch for Husky fans. With offers from around the country Moss will be one of the more highly recruited players in the west. You can really see how physical and long he is in his film and he looks like a potential rush edge player of the Huskies can land him.

It appears that Husky coaches are waiting for official visits and guys to be allowed to visit campus until they start getting some of their top targets in the boat and pushing hard for commitments. However 4 star athlete Will Latu from Bethel HS, WA just narrowed his list to UW and Utah with a decision coming in a few weeks. Listed at 6’2” and around 230 pounds Latu is a player that could end up at several positions but the Huskies like him at linebacker and possibly as a bigger running back. Right now it looks like he is favoring the Utes (his brother is going to a JC down there and he has family in the area), however if the Huskies push hard they might be able to close him out. The next few weeks will be very interesting to see what the Huskies do regarding Latu and how hard they push for him.

That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
