Coach Jimmy Lake got some good news today when 3 star-tight end Quentin Moore from Independence College (but originally from Seattle, more specifically Kenmore) committed to the Huskies over offers from Florida State, Miami, Tennessee, Ole Miss, and Nebraska.
Moore is rated as the #1 junior college tight end by 247 Sports and has the frame to be a difference maker both pass blocking and catching the ball. He is listed at around 6’6” and 245 pounds. When you watch him play he looks a lot like Drew Sample and Will Dissly (in that he is a good blocker and above average for a tight end when the ball is in his hands).
When he enrolls I would expect Moore to challenge for the starting tight end job and play a lot. The Huskies picked up a good all-around tight end that can help them with their depth. Washington didn’t take any tight ends in the 2019 class, Then Hunter Bryant declared early this past season and Cade Otton is a candidate to do the same next year so ready to play reinforcements were needed. The Huskies will probably take 1 more tight end in the 2021 class as already committed Caden Jumper is expected to play more of a fullback/H-back role.

Moore is the 7th commit in the 2021 class. That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
