Husky coaches have been putting a lot of work in on the recruiting trail over the last several weeks including scouring the west coast for some top 2022 prospects. They extended an offer a couple of weeks ago to a 4 star defensive back/Linebacker out of St John Bosco HS, CA. Sione Hala, who is listed at between 6’2” and 6’3” and around 190 pounds, was pretty excited to add a Husky offer to an early Oregon, and Kansas Offer. I had the chance to ask him a few recruiting questions and here is what he had to say about recruiting and the Huskies:
Which coach from UW has been recruiting you?
Coach Gregory (LB) and Coach Harris (DB).
Which position is UW recruiting you to?
Both Lb and Db, an ATH.
What did you think when you got your UW offer?
When I got the offer I was stoked, I couldn’t believe the coaches at UW believed in me enough to be the hand full of kids that they offer
I know it’s early in your recruitment but when are you aiming to make your decision?
I’ll try to make my commitment by later in my junior year, hopefully.
Hala looks like he can play either linebacker or safety (he is a physical and fast player on the field). The Huskies were smart to get in early and offer Hala before he blows up with offers later in his recruiting.
