Happy Sunday Husky fans. I hope everyone enjoyed the commitments of both Sir Mells and Anthony Jones from Liberty HS, NV yesterday. Both players are intriguing prospects who are growing into their frames, and look to be flying a bit under the radar (due to not playing their junior seasons yet).
The Huskies now have 4 commitments in the 2022 class. It sounds like the 2022 class will have a class around 15-18 in the 2022 class as of right now.
So who could be next in the 2022 class?
4 star tight end Ryan Otton from Tumwater HS, WA holds a Husky offer and it feels like just a matter of time before he commits to UW. He currently has offers from among the likes of Stanford and Oregon. Listed at around 6’6” and 225 pounds Otton is rated as the #4 tight end in the 2022 class. The Huskies would love to add Otton (and help fill the void left by his brother, Cade Otton- assuming he leaves this year or next).
3 star running back Djouvensky Schlenbaker from Squailcum HS, WA is another player who could pop at any time. Rated as the #62 running back in the 2022 class Schlenbaker is a big-time back who holds offers from Cal, Virginia Tech, and Colorado. Listed at 6’1” and around 210 pounds Schlenbaker is a bigger back with great speed.

The Huskies are also doing well with all 5 offensive lineman that they have offered in the stage of Washington. Anyone of them could commit to the Huskies down the road. 4 star offensive tackle Josh Conerly from Rainier Beach, 4 star offensive guard Malik Agbo from Todd Beamer HS, WA, 4 star offensive guard Dave Iuli from Puyallup HS, Wa, 3 star guard Vega Ioane from Graham-Kapowsin HS WA, and 3 star guard Mark Nabou from O’Dea HS, WA. Offensive line coach Scott Huff is a great recruiter and he has the Huskies at the top of each of these prospects lists.
The last piece of news I wanted to share is that 4 star wide receiver CJ Williams from Mater Dei Hs, CA was able to check out Husky stadium. Williams, who was up in Seattle to train with FSP during the offseason, has offers from the likes of Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State, and USC. It doesn’t sound like a commitment is imminent but the Huskies are doing well with Williams, however they have stiff competition to try and land him.
