#Woof: Huskies Land A 2022 3-Star Defensive Tackle

Washington adds their third commit in the 2022 class

NCAA Football: Eastern Washington at Washington Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Saturday Husky fans. The Huskies got some good news today when 3-star defensive tackle Sir Mells from Liberty HS, NV. Listed at 6’4” and around 310 pounds, Mells committed to UW over offers from Fresno State, UNLV, and San Jose State.

After not having a junior season to show how much he has improved the Huskies took a bit of a gamble and extended an offer to Mells after he flew up to Seattle to check out the campus and city. Based on his size it looks like Mells could be a run plugging defensive tackle. There have been some rumblings that Mells has taken a huge step this off-season, which if true could mean this is a massive commitment both literally and figuratively. The Huskies already have a commitment from one of his teammates at Liberty HS in 4-star wide receiver Germie Bernard and are targeting a 3rd in TE/OLB Anthony Jones.

Mells is the 3rd commit in the 2022 class. That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
