It has been a disappointing past couple of weeks for the Washington Huskies football program to say the least. As if the matchup with the Oregon Ducks being canceled wasn’t painful enough, the Dawgs also are unable to compete in the conference title game against the USC Trojans all due covid-19 outbreak within the team. This has led to frustrating times in Seattle so let us all sit back, take a deep breath and check out how the Pro Dawgs performed in week 14.

In a 24-3 loss to the Los Rams, New England Patriot defensive back Myles Bryant recorded his first career interception and had a tackle as well. LA Ram defensive lineman Greg Gaines came away with three tackles of his own.

The Arizona Cardinals (or Pro Dawg University) had three former Huskies make contributions in a 26-7 victory over the New York Giants. The leader was Budda Baker who finished with six tackles, next was Byron Murphy who finished with three tackles and broke up a pass and the third was Zeke Turner who recorded a tackle.

In a 30-7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, Cincinnati Bengal’s tight end Drew Sample came away with 3 catches for 21 yards.

Sample was not the only former Husky tight end that was busy, Seattle Seahawk Will Dissly caught two passes for 23 yards and a touchdown in a 40-3 victory over the New York Jets. In that game against the Jets, Seahawk linebacker Ben Burr-Kirven had three tackles, including one for a loss.

Las Vegas Raiders linebacker Cory Littleton finished with a tackle in their 44-27 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Meanwhile, Sidney Jones had three tackles for the Jacksonville Jaguars against the Tennessee Titans in a 31-10 loss.

For the second straight week, Green Bay Packer defensive back Kevin King recorded five tackles with the latest of them coming in a 31-24 victory over the Detroit Lions. For the Carolina Panthers, Shaq Thompson finished with three tackles in a 32-27 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Last but not least is Marcus Peters, who had five tackles and forced a fumble in a thrilling 47-42 victory over the Cleveland Browns.

That’s it for this week’s Pro Dawgs which was dominated by defensive players. See you next week and remember, Go Dawgs!
