For the first time in nearly 11 months we have reached a morning where the Washington Huskies have a football game still on the schedule. Unfortunately, we still need to wait until 8pm PT. So what better way to take your mind off the game while physically distancing then to plop yourself on the couch and watch more college football?
Here are the best games to watch at each time slot to help guide your day on a Saturday that looks a lot lighter than normal because of a season high number of COVID cancellations.
9:00a PT- #9 Miami at Virginia Tech (-2), ESPN
This is mainly about watching the Miami offense led by D’Eriq King. The Hurricanes have been extremely fun to watch in the early going and since none of the games in this slate are expected to be both competitive and against a pair of ranked teams then picking the most fun offense seems like a good way to go. Although since writing that last sentence I’ve checked the line and apparently Tech is favored? Who knew. Each of the Hokies’ last 3 have been decided by 7 points or less so maybe it keeps up here and we get a fun one.
This morning it comes out that Miami is down 13 players including 3 starters so that may have something to do with that line.
Secondary option: #10 Indiana (-7.5) at Michigan State, ABC
12:30p PT- #20 USC (14.5) at Arizona, FOX
This is primarily a Husky-centric pick as if I were a fan of most teams then I’d go in another direction. Washington is slated to play the Wildcats a week from tonight and so this is a chance to get an early scouting report on Arizona as they also open their season a week later than expected. USC looked shaky against Arizona State and were lucky to come away with a win last week and we’ll see if they can escape against the other Grand Canyon state school.
Secondary option: #2 Notre Dame at Boston College, ABC
4:00p PT- #11 Oregon (10.5) at Washington State, FOX
That's a stat. https://t.co/hdeFUPseCj

If we can all agree on just one thing in this highly polarizing age we find ourselves in it’s that we would rather the Cougars win than the Ducks. Should WSU pull the upset then we all want to make sure we’re watching when it happens. And once again, this is a scouting opportunity for a pair of teams upcoming on Washington’s schedule.
Secondary option: #13 Wisconsin at Michigan, ABC
8:00p PT- Oregon State at Washington (-14), FS1
Duh.
