As the tenth week of the NFL season kicks off and the Huskies look to finally kick their season off against the Oregon State Beavers, let’s take a look back at how former Dawgs performed during week nine.

While the debate continues on whether Marcus Peters should be considered a Pro Dawg or not, I vividly remember him donning the purple and gold while also putting clamps on numerous wide receivers so.. he counts. The Baltimore Raven had 5 tackles, a forced fumble, an interception, and broke up a pass against the Indianapolis Colts. Regardless if you hate him or not, he gives UW’s DBU claims a lot more momentum week in and week out.

In Miami, Myles Gaskin is out nursing an injury but his replacement did well when he had opportunities. Salvon Ahmed had 7 carries for 38 yards. Facing off against the Dolphins was the Arizona Cardinals where Budda Baker had 5 tackles and Darrell Daniels caught a 21-yard touchdown. Miami won 34-31.

Meanwhile, in Jacksonville, Sidney Jones continued his revenge tour as he came away with four tackles and broke up two passes. However, the Jaguars lost 27-25 against the Houston Texans. Desmond Trufant had a busy day as well but for the Atlanta Falcons as made 6 tackles, had a sack, and forced an incompletion. His Falcons won 34-27 against the Denver Broncos.

Las Vegas Raider Cory Littleton helped guide his team to a victory over the Los Angeles Chargers, Littleton had 8 tackles in their 31-26 win. Another former member of the Husky defense that was busy was Carolina Panther Shaq Thompson who had 7 tackles and broke up a pass but was unable to beat the Kansas City Chiefs who won 33-31.

After a big game the week before, Marvin Hall cooled off a bit but still caught three passes for 28 yards for the Detroit Lions who lost 34-20 against the Minnesota Vikings. In that game, Danny Shelton had three tackles for Detroit.

Lastly, Seattle Seahawk Will Dissly caught 1 pass for 26 yards but also did not come away with a victory after losing 44-34 against the Buffalo Bills.
