Those who reside in Seattle or just find themselves rooting for Seattle sports teams had to feel a bit conflicted when settling down to watch the Seahawks take on the Arizona Cardinals. No matter how badly we want the ‘Hawks to win, we always want to see the Pro Dawgs shine and boy did they ever.

As we’ve seen weekly, the Pro Dawgs in Arizona are barking louder than others and that was on display on NBC’s Sunday Night Football against Russell Wilson and Seattle. In the first half, Arizona safety Budda Baker picked off a pass right in front of the end-zone and returned it 90 yards before going viral on Twitter once Seahawk wide receiver D.K Metcalf’s, who could be mistaken for a Deception, chased him down and prevented the score.

Outside of the interception, Budda also broke up a pass and finished the night with 14 tackles.

Arizona corner Byron Murphy certainly did not have the numbers that Budda had but Murphy’s impact was felt. He had 2 tackles and a momentum altering sack late in the game to swing the momentum. Seattle tight end Will Dissly had two catches for 38 yards against the potent Arizona secondary but it wasn’t enough as the Cardinals won 37-34 in overtime.

It was a busy weekend for former members of the Dawg defense, Los Angeles Ram Taylor Rapp had 7 tackles, broke up a pass, and came away with an interception in the end zone and Greg Gaines finished with two tackles and helped sack Nick Foles. Their efforts propelled the Rams to a 24-10 win over the Chicago Bears.

Meanwhile, in Carolina, their linebacker Shaq Thompson is back to doing Shaq Thompson things as he recorded 13 tackles in a 27-24 loss to New Orleans.

Cincinnati Bengal Drew Sample had a very solid game against Danny Shelton’s Cleveland Browns, Sample had 5 catches for 52 yards while Shelton recorded 5 tackles. In the end, Shelton won as the Browns secured a 37-34 victory.

Lastly, Las Vegas Raider Cory Littleton had 8 tackles against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but they could not get the job done as the Bucs’ won 45-20.

While John Ross awaits the decision regarding his trade request, The 49ers find it unlikely that they ship Dante Pettis elsewhere after announcing that he was on the trade block.

Overall, the Pro Dawgs had a very solid week while being productive and once again Budda and Byron were the headliners after their Sunday showcase.

Go Dawgs!
