Recruiting Roundup: Huge Recruiting Weekend Coming Up

Big Time Visitors Coming Into Town

NCAA Football: Hawaii at Washington Jennifer Buchanan-USA TODAY Sports

After a big win the Huskies are carrying some momentum into next weekend hosting USC. The Huskies will have an impressive list of official visitors up for the game, and with only a few spots left next weekend will be a crucial weekend for the Huskies. Here is a look at who will be in town:

4 star linebacker Jordan Banks from Narbonne HS, CA will be in town for an official visit. Listed at 6’1” and around 230 pounds Banks is rated is by 247sports as the 198th best player in the country and 15th best player in California. After narrowing his list to Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and UW the Huskies get a shot at hosting Banks. As we have seen on the field the Huskies have a huge need at linebacker and Banks could see the field right away next year on the inside or outside. Right now his recruitment looks like a UW and Bama battle prior to his UW visit and next weekend will go a long way in helping UW’s chances. Here is a look at some of his highlights:

4 Star wide receiver Gary Bryant from Centennial HS, CA is heading to UW next weekend. Rated by 247sports as the 65th best player in the country and 11th best wide receiver in the country Bryant has offers from around the country but he is looking most closely at UW, USC, Oklahoma, Oregon, and ASU. Bryant is listed at around 5’11” and 165 pounds the Huskies are recruiting Bryant as a slot wideout. When you watch his film you can see the speed and separation that Bryant has, and he can score from anywhere on the field. With 3 receivers already in the fold the Huskies are only recruiting Bryant still at the position and next weekend will be big in the Huskies chances with him. Right now it looks like the Huskies are probably running 3rd or 4th in his recruitment but getting him on campus is a big step. Here is a look at his highlights:

The last official visitor for the weekend is 3 star tight end Jake Overman from Servite HS, CA. Listed at around 6’3” and 230 pounds and rated as the 33rd best tight end in the country by 247sports, Overman has the skill set that the Huskies look for in their tight ends: Guys that are willing blockers and are capable pass catchers when they are thrown the ball. The Huskies already have 2 tight ends committed but with Hunter Bryant more than likely gone after this year and Jacob Kizer’s health still a concern they really want to bring in 3 tight ends in the 2020 class. Overman has offers from Arizona, Oregon State, Colorado, and Utah. The Huskies are probably hoping that they can wrap up Overman after next weekend and close out their tight end recruiting for the 2020 class. Here is a look at Overman’s highlights:

The Huskies will also have several unofficial visitors including Jalen McMillan (who will be in the ear of the visitors in town) and most of the local recruits (Emeka Egbuka, Sam Adams...and several others).

That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
