#22 Washington Huskies 2-1 (0-1) @ BYU Cougars 2-1

Date: Saturday, September 21st

Time: 12:30 pm PT

Location: Provo, UT

TV: ABC

Streaming: Espn.com/watch

Radio: KOMO AM 1000 and TuneIn

Excitement Rating: 10/10 (I will always give UW a 10/10 in the excitement rating. Actual score 8/10...) This is the Huskies’ first road game of the season and BYU is coming off back-to-back OT wins against former football powers. The name recognition of those wins makes them seem more impressive than they were but this is still a very much not bad BYU team who will be playing in a frenzied environment.

Washington is a 6.5 point favorite and the Over/Under is 52 which means the betting public expects a score of Washington 29, BYU 23.

Other Pac-12 Games

#23 California 3-0 (1-0) @ Ole Miss 2-1 (1-0)

Time: 9:00 am PT

TV: ESPNU

Streaming: Espn.com/watch

Excitement Rating: 6/10.

This is not going to be an aesthetically pleasing game. It’d make UW fans feel a lot better about themselves though if Cal was able to go on the road and beat an SEC team even if that team is Ole Miss. And 9 am start times might suck for the home team but it’s great to be able watch a Pac-12 team play in that first group of games in the morning so I don’t have to watch Ohio State bludgeon one of the worst teams in the Big 10.

California is a 2 point underdog and the Over/Under is 41.5 which means the betting public expects a score of California-20, Ole Miss-22.

#16 Oregon 2-1 @ Stanford 1-2 (0-1)

Time: 4:00 pm PT

TV: ESPN

Streaming: Espn.com/watch

Excitement Rating: 7/10.

Before the year this was looked at as one of the premier games on the Pac-12 schedule. But after consecutive flops by Stanford it instead looks like potentially the prelude to the destruction of the David Shaw aura. If Stanford wins this game though it will have big implications for the Pac-12 North race.

Oregon is a 10.5 point favorite and the Over/Under is 58.5 which means the betting public expects a score of Oregon-35, Stanford-24.

Colorado 2-1 @ #24 Arizona State 3-0

Time: 7:00 pm PT

TV: Pac-12 Networks

Streaming: Pac-12.com/live

Excitement Rating: 6/10.

I’m pretty curious to see which, if any, of these two teams are for real. The answer could very well be neither in which case the result won’t tell us much but at the very least I feel confident in saying that the loser of this game can be forgotten about in the context of a discussion around the actual Pac-12 contenders.

Arizona State is a 7.5 point favorite and the Over/Under is 50 which means the betting public expects a score of Colorado- 21, Arizona State- 29.

UCLA 0-3 vs. #19 Washington State 3-0

Time: 7:30 pm PT

TV: ESPN

Streaming: Espn.com/watch

Excitement Rating: 3/10.

Yuck. I mean...blegh. I mean...ewww. I mean....ugh. The reason this doesn’t get a 1 is because it’s two Pac-12 schools playing each other. The reason this doesn’t get a 2 is for you sickos out there who enjoy rubbernecking the flaming trash heap that is the Chip Kelly era. Therefore it gets a 3.

Washington State is a 18.5 point favorite and the Over/Under is 57 which means the betting public expects a score of UCLA-19, Washington State-38.
