Eastern Washington Eagles 0-0 @ #13 Washington Huskies 0-0
Date: Saturday, August 31st
Time: 12:00 pm PT
Location: Seattle, WA
TV: Pac-12 Networks
Streaming: Pac-12.com/live
Radio: KOMO AM 1000 and TuneIn
Excitement Rating: 10/10 (I will always give UW a 10/10 in the excitement rating. Actual score 7/10...). This gets some bonus excitement points because it’s the first game of the season and Eastern isn’t your run of the mill FCS team. Still, they’re an FCS team and the Huskies are expected to win by multiple touchdowns. If everything goes according to plan there will be some backups in for most of the 4th quarter and that can only get so exciting to watch.
There is no official betting line on this game since Eastern Washington is an FCS team.
But I found an unofficial line so...
Washington is a 22.5 point favorite and the Over/Under is 54.5 which means the betting public expects a score of Washington 38, Eastern Washington 16.
Other Pac-12 Games
Northwestern 0-0 @ #25 Stanford 0-0

Excitement Rating: 6/10. Who doesn’t love a good old fashioned nerd bowl? I guess people who enjoy explosive offenses, for one. This thing is going to be ugly but there’s a good chance that it’s close and if the Cardinal prevail it would be the first Pac-12 win over a power conference opponent this season, so there’s that.
Stanford is a 6.5 point favorite and the Over/Under is 47 which means the betting public expects a score of Stanford-26, Northwestern-21.
UC Davis 0-0 @ California 0-0
Time: 3:30 pm PT
TV: Pac-12 Networks
Streaming: Pac-12.com/live
Excitement Rating:2/10. The line on this thing is closer than the one for the UW-Eastern game but it’s still an FCS team. However, Cal is the Huskies’ next opponent so they get bumped up from a 1 just because it provides a good scouting opportunity.
There is no official betting line on this game since UC Davis is an FCS team.
But I found an unofficial line so...
California is a 14.5 point favorite and the Over/Under is 48 which means the betting public expects a score of California 31, UC Davis 17.
#11 Oregon 0-0 vs. #16 Auburn 0-0
Location: Arlington, Texas
Time: 4:30 pm PT
TV: ABC
Streaming: Espn.com/watch
Excitement Rating: 10/10. This is the game of the week in college football and if the Ducks lose then expect the East Coast to completely write off the Pac-12 for the next 6 weeks. If they win then you can expect ESPN to view them as the clear conference favorite until they come into Husky Stadium in October.
Oregon is a 4 point underdog and the Over/Under is 56 which means the betting public expects a score of Oregon-26, Auburn-30.
New Mexico State 0-0 @ #23 Washington State 0-0
Time: 7:00 pm PT
TV: Pac-12 Networks
Streaming: Pac-12.com/live
Excitement Rating: For my mother and CreatureoftheNight: 5/10. For everyone else 1/10. If you happen to be an NMSU alum then this game is mildly interesting. If not then avoid at all costs.
Washington State is a 31.5 point favorite and the Over/Under is 63.5 which means the betting public expects a score of Washington State-47, New Mexico State-16.
Fresno State 0-0 vs. USC 0-0
Time: 7:30 pm PT
TV: ESPN
Streaming: Espn.com/watch
Excitement Rating: 8/10. This is exciting in the way that rubbernecking a bad car wreck on the freeway is exciting. If USC loses this game then the odds that Clay Helton gets fired start approaching 100%. Should USC actually cover the point spread then maybe they have enough raw talent to make a run despite the terrible coaching. I’ll at the least be intrigued to see if the air raid variant being run with all of USC’s elite WR talent looks as explosive as you’d expect it to be.
USC is a 13.5 point favorite and the Over/Under is 53 which means the betting public expects a score of USC-33, Fresno State-20.
