#Woof: Huskies Land A 3 Star Cornerback

Huskies Land A Cornerback

NCAA Football: Pac-12 Conference Championship-Utah vs Washington Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

The wheels of recruiting never stop and today the Huskies received a verbal from 3 star cornerback Elijah Jackson from Lawndale HS, CA (he is teammates with Makell Esteen). Jackson, who is listed at around 6’2” and 175 pounds, is rated by 247sports as the 48th best cornerback in the country and 53rd best player in California. UW was able to secure the commitment of Jackson over schools like Cal, UCLA, and Utah. When you watch his film you can see how lengthy he is, and also how good of an athlete he is as well (he plays both wideout and defensive back). The Huskies have definitely recruited some bigger cornerbacks and landing Jackson continues the trend of getting bigger. The Huskies now have 4 defensive backs committed and it sounds like they will only take 4 in the 2020 class (meaning they are done with DB recruiting).

Jackson is the 19th commit in the class. As always follow me @asieverkropp
