#Woof: Huskies Land 3-Star Texas Linebacker

Woof

NCAA Football: Washington at Washington State James Snook-USA TODAY Sports

The Huskies added another commitment just moments ago when 3-star inside linebacker Cooper McDonald from Northwest HS, TX committed to UW over offers from Baylor, Utah, and Colorado. Listed at 6’3” and around 220 pounds and the 129th best prospect in the state of Texas, McDonald is a tackling machine that reminds me of a bigger version of Ben Burr-Kirven (although not as fast). He is always around the ball when you watch his film. The Huskies have started to target more prospects from the state of Texas and landing McDonald is a good thing for the program, as he is a good football player from a talent-rich state. The Huskies now have two commitments from the state of Texas—McDonald and Jay’Veon Sunday.

Here are some of his junior highlights:

McDonald is the 13th commitment in the class. That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
