Yesterday Husky coaches hosted their yearly Dirt Dawgs Camp (offensive and defensive line) and Rising Stars Camp (for all other positions) and some big names attended, including:
Four-star wideout Jalen McMillan from San Joaquin HS, CA didn’t run routes but he did line up and win the “fastest man at the camp” award. He was probably the biggest name at camp and the Huskies are hoping they can land him. Listed at around 6’2” and 180 pounds, McMillan has the size and speed that Husky coaches seek in wideouts. With offers from around the country, McMillan is rated as a national top-five wideout by 247sports. The Huskies are hoping they can beat out Oklahoma, Notre Dame, and USC for his services. Right now it sounds like it’s mainly between Notre Dame and UW. Here is a photo of McMillan with current Husky wideouts, Coach Junior Adams, and 2021 Husky commit Sam Huard:

Four-star offensive lineman Geirean Hatchett from Ferndale HS, WA participated in the Dirt Dawgs Camp. Hatchett has offers from around the country but has been mainly looking at Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Stanford, Alabama, and UW. The Huskies have been leading for Hatchett and the hope was that the Huskies would land Hatchett this weekend. It doesn’t look like he committed this weekend, but I would not be surprised if he were to commit to UW soon.
Four-star wideout L.V. Bunkley-Shelton from Junipero Serra (Gardena) HS, CA was at camp and participated in the Rising Stars Camp. Husky coaches have been looking at him as a slot wideout, and they were able to see him run routes and catch balls thrown by current Husky commit Ethan Garbers. Listed at 5’11” and around 175 pounds, Bunkley-Shelton is a good route runner and he is very quick on the field. Last year he had around 1,000 yards and three touchdowns for his team. The Huskies are battling USC, Oregon, Ohio State, and ASU for his services.
Almost all of the current Husky commits were in town for the camp including 3-star quarterback Ethan Garbers, 4-star tight end Mark Redman, 4-star offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten, 3-star offensive lineman Gaard Memmelaar, and 5-star 2021 QB commit Sam Huard.
There were a few notable underclassmen that participated, including 2021 4-star wideout Jabez Tinae and 3-star wideout Junior Alexander, both from Kennedy Catholic HS, WA. Five-star wideout Troy Franklin from Menlo-Atherton HS, CA participated. Four-star offensive lineman Owen Prentice from O’Dea HS, WA participated in the Dirt Dawgs Camp. 2021 4-star linebacker/tight end Julien Simon from Lincoln HS, WA got a Husky offer after attending camp (it looks like he was offered as a linebacker). Four-star 2021 linebacker Ethan Calvert from Oaks Christian HS, CA was also at camp. Here is a photo of Troy Franklin with his mom:
