I had a chance to talk with 3 star defensive back Trey Paster from Buhach Colony HS, CA. Paster is a rising prospect in recruiting circles and the Huskies jumped in and offered him recently. Paster is listed at around 6’1” and 200 pounds and currently holds offers from Cal, Oregon, Arizona, UCLA, and Utah. Here is some of my Q&A with him:
Is UW recruiting you at safety or corner?
I’m pretty sure UW is Recruiting me as a safety I’m just not a 100% sure.
What would you say are your strengths as a defensive back?
My strengths as a DB is my IQ of the game and knowing what the offense is trying to do, and my physicality at the corner back position.
Besides UW which schools are taking to you most?
The schools that are talking to me the most is UCLA, Oregon, Utah, Cal, and San Jose State.
What do you think of coach Lake and UW?
I think Coach Lake is an amazing coach and it shows with the guys he has developed over the years at UW it’s really really impressive as a recruit to see how many guys he has got to the league!
Are you planning to visit UW again in the coming months?
I’m not 100% sure when I when I will visit UW but hopefully soon.
What are you looking for in a school when you make your decision?
What I’m looking for in a school is daily life outside of Football and how the culture of the school is. I want to go to a good school even though I may not make it to the league. I will be good no matter happens with the degree I get.
When do you want to have your decision made?
I will be making my decision sometime in July.
The Huskies are will probably bring in at least 1 safety in the 2020 class. Here is some Paster’s film from last year:
That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
