This afternoon while on an unofficial visit the Huskies were able to nab one of California’s best tight ends when Mark Redman from Corona Del Mar committed to UW. Redman, who is rated as a 4-star tight end by 247sports, committed to UW over offers from Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Alabama, Ohio State, and USC. Listed at 6’6” and around 250 pounds, Redman has the size, speed, and catching ability to be a bigtime addition to the Huskies’ offense. Redman already has a college-ready body, and he is similar to but more of a true passing wideout than recent Huskies Drew Sample and Will Dissly.
Last year Redman had 54 catches for around 600 yards and 9 touchdowns. After not getting a tight end in last year’s class the Huskies focused on Redman and landed the top guy on their board.
