This weekend the Huskies hosted their spring practice/game, which wrapped up their spring. Husky coaches were able to get a few of their targets on campus and here is a look at who made it out today (this isn’t an exhaustive list, just some of the most interesting names):
5-star running back Bijan Robinson from Salpointe Catholic HS, AZ was on campus with his dad to check out the Huskies. Listed at 6’0” and around 200 pounds, Robinson is one of the elite running backs in the 2020 class. With offers from Alabama, UCLA, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and a host of other schools, UW has their work cut out to try and land him but a former teammate of his is currently on the roster (Matteo Mele). When you watch his film you see a powerful back who has great speed to break off long runs. The Huskies will be looking to take two running backs in the 2020 class and Robinson is at the top of their board along with 4-star running back Sam Adams. Here are some of his highlights:

Four-star offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten out of Valor Christian HS, CO spent all weekend visiting UW and watching practice. Listed at 6’7” and around 275 pounds, Rosengarten has offers from Oklahoma, Oregon, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Michigan, and Iowa. UW offered Rosengarten this spring and sought to get him on campus as soon as they could. It sounds like Rosengarten enjoyed his trip a lot and he will narrow down his list to a top five in the coming weeks. I would expect UW to make that list. When you watch his film you can see that he is very light on his feet and is able to finish his blocks once he engages with a player (he looks a little like Kaleb McGary). He looks like a future left tackle in college to me:

The Huskies also had 4-star offensive guard Geirean Hatchett from Ferndale HS, WA on campus. It wasn’t surprising to see Geirean on campus as the Huskies have been rumored to be his leader for a while. Hatchett has been down to UW throughout the spring practices and it sounds like it’s only a matter of time before he commits to UW sometime this spring.
Also on campus was 5-star QB and current Husky commit Sam Huard from Kennedy HS, WA. Huard is all in on being a Husky and he is building relationships with Husky recruits to help get them to commit to Montlake.
Four-star running back Daniyel Ngata from Folsom HS, CA was on campus to watch his brother (current Husky Ariel Ngata). Ngata, who is listed at 5’9” and around 180 pounds, has a build similar to current Husky players Trey Lowe and Chico McClatcher. The Huskies are looking at him as a slot wideout/running back. He has offers from around the country including Alabama, USC, Oregon, Clemson, LSU, and Michigan. Right now UW is still recruiting him but they have some guys on their board that are probably higher.
The Huskies also hosted and offered Elijah Jackson from Lawndale HS, CA. Jackson, a 3-star athlete who is being recruited as a defensive back. Listed at 6’2” and around 175 pounds, Jackson has the long frame that UW is starting to emphasize. Jackson currently has offers from Arizona State, Oregon State, Cal, and Texas Tech. When I watched his film I saw a player who looks to be in the Kevin King mold. I really like this offer, because Jackson looks like a player who will need a couple of years to put on some weight but has the frame, speed, and aggressive play to be a factor if he comes to UW. Here are some highlights:

Husky coaches will be out the road recruiting in May, then start hosting their Rising Stars camps in June, and then host a huge recruiting weekend in June (sounds like it will be a BBQ). I would expect more offers to go out in May and probably a few commitments in the coming weeks. That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
