The Washington Huskies have had a player selected in the first round of each of the past 2 NFL Drafts and they’ll be hoping to keep that streak alive with 3 players that seemingly have a chance of hearing their names called tonight. The last Draft without a Husky 1st rounder, Travis Feeney was the first Dawg selected in the 6th round at #220 overall. It would be a surprise if there aren’t at least 5 UW players picked before that point this weekend.
The most likely candidate to go in the 1st round is CB Byron Murphy who is generally one of the consensus top-2 corners in this draft class. Both Taylor Rapp and Kaleb McGary have appeared occasionally at the end of the 1st round in various mock drafts although it is more likely that they have to wait until early tomorrow to be selected.
You can find our NFL Draft Profiles on Murphy, Rapp, and McGary by clicking on those links.
Follow along tonight in the comments below to talk about the draft and your favorite Huskies under consideration.
Here are some mock drafts that include Huskies in the 1st round:
Ryan Wilson, CBS- Byron Murphy 20th to Pittsburgh
R.J White, CBS- Byron Murphy 28th to Los Angeles Chargers, Kaleb McGary 29th to Seattle
Will Brinson, CBS- Byron Murphy 20th to Pittsburgh, Kaleb McGary 28th to Los Angeles Chargers
