4 Star Wideout Talks Huskies & Recruiting

Q&A With Husky 4 Star Wideout

NCAA Football: Pac-12 Championship-Colorado vs Washington Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Last week the Huskies extended an offer to 4 star wideout L V Bunkley-Shelton out of Gardena Serra HS, CA. Listed at 6’0 and around 180 pounds Bunkley-Shelton has good speed and can play both outside and inside at the wide receiver position. Last year he had 81 receptions for 1,012 yards and 3 touchdowns. With offers from schools like USC, Ohio State, Oregon, Michigan, and Florida State Bunkley-Shelton is a bigtime player and the Huskies are looking to add some more talented wideouts for the 2020 class. I had the chance to do a Q&A with Bunkley-Shelton about his recruiting and UW. Here is what he said:

How would you describe your game and your strengths as a football player?

I’m a great route runner and I can catch really well.

What schools are you hearing from the most?

Washington, Ohio State, Arizona State Washington State, Oregon, and Michigan.

How is your relationship with Junior Adams and which coach do you talk to at UW and who are

Coach Adam really likes me and I talk to him and coach Will Harris a lot.

What did you think when you got your UW offer?

The offer means a lot because it’s Washington and it’s a great program.

How do you think you can fit into the Husky offense?

I feel like I will fit good in their offense with the way I play.

Are you planning on visiting UW, and if so when?

Yeah but not sure when.

When are you planning on making your decision and are you graduating early?

I am not sure.

The Huskies are in the market for 2-3 wideouts in the 2020 class and Bunkley-Shelton is one of the top wideouts in the west in the 2020 class. It looks like they are after a slot wideout (LV Bunkley-Shelton and Gary Bryant) and some bigger outside wideouts like Jalen McMillan, and Johnny Wilson.

That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
