Recruiting Roundup

NCAA Football: Rose Bowl Game-Ohio State vs Washington Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Husky coaches have been busy on the recruiting trail and recently they extended an offer to 4-star offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten out of Valor Christian HS, CO. Listed at 6’7” and around 275 pounds, Rosengarten holds offers from around the country including Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Michigan, USC, and Oregon. UW was able to get Rosengarten on campus for their Dirt Dawg camp a few years ago and have been monitoring him since then. It sounds like Rosengarten will be making several visits this spring, including UW. Here is a look at some of his highlights:

Four-star wideout Josh Jackson from Narbonne HS, CA announced via Twitter that he would be committing on March 23rd. Listed at 6’2” and around 185 pounds, Jackson has offers from USC, Notre Dame, Michigan, Oregon and UW. Jackson visited UW last year and enjoyed his visit, and right now I would say the decision will probably come down to UW, USC, or Oregon. With Junior Adams now on staff as the wide receivers coach and Jackson being offered by former wideout coach Matt Lubick, it’s tough to know where he fits on UW’s wideout recruiting board. UW will be looking at bringing in at least two wideouts in the 2020 class and they have offered eight guys (including Jackson). Here are some of Jackson’s highlights:

As we inch toward spring ball, recruiting is starting to pick up. Several Husky prospects are making plans to head up to Montlake this spring, including 3-star quarterback commit Ethan Garbers and his teammate, 3-star tight end Mark Redman from Corona Del Mar HS, CA. Four-star wideouts Jalen McMillan from San Joaquin HS, CA and Gary Bryant from Centennial HS, CA are planning to head up to Montlake as well. Most of the local offered prospects (5-star defensive end Sav’ell Smalls, 4-star running back Sam Adams, 4-star cornerback Ayden Hector, and 4-star offensive lineman Geirean Hatchett) will also be making their way onto campus to check out practice as well. A lot more prospects will be visiting Montlake, and as those visits are scheduled we will let you guys know.

That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
