- Christian Caple wrote about the indelible connection between Petersen’s past, present, and future that will be on display in the bowl game, even if it’s the last thing he wants.
- Also from Caple, Petersen announced at his press conference that Hunter Bryant and Trey Adams will sit out the bowl game, but that Jacob Eason intends to play.

- Larry Stone wrote about Jimmy Lake’s transition to the head coach job with an eye toward the history of new Husky football coaches.
- The Seattle Times also looked into Lake’s first big task: securing this year’s recruiting class ahead of the December 18th early signing day.
- At Hec Ed, the Dawgs hosted #9 Gonzaga on Sunday night. The Huskies pushed the Zags all the way to the end, but some clutch threes by the visitors secured an 83-76 win. The Times has a game recap with video.
- After the Gonzaga game, the women’s basketball team hosted Hawaii and struggled to make shots all night. They finished with a 62-50 loss.
- The men’s soccer team went up 1-0 over Georgetown in the national quarterfinal in DC. The Hoyas answered back with two goals to advance to the College Cup and end the Huskies’ season.
- The volleyball team will play on. After a Saturday win over South Carolina, they will travel to Waco, Texas for the Sweet 16 against Kentucky on Friday.
