The Washington Huskies have had some success over the past few years producing high-caliber tight ends. With the signing of 3* tight end Mason West, Jimmy Lake hopes to add to that legacy.
Mason West is a DAWG.

Built in the mold of Drew Sample, West is a versatile-style tight end who looks to make a name for himself as both a pass catcher and a blocker. At 6’3” and 240 pounds, West has the frame to be effective in both roles. West joins 4* Mark Redman to make up this year’s tight end class. Although Washington is still after Jack Yary who will sign in February.
Washington beat out both Boise State and Oregon State for West’s commitment. As an under-the-radar recruit, the Huskies are hoping to strike the same kind of magic that they did when they beat Boise out for another La Habra product - a defensive tackle that goes by the name of Greg “Friggin” Gaines - in Chris Petersen’s first full recruiting class.
