After a tough loss last night for the Dawgs I am sure most fans are feeling down on the team. However things aren’t all bleak because the Huskies are bringing in a top 10 class in 2020 according to 247sports. The Huskies are bringing in some speed and size at the wideout position and players like 4 star wideout Jalen McMillan should see the field early and often for the Dawgs next year. The Huskies have 20 commits currently and it sounds like the Huskies have around 2-3 spots left in the 2020 class. Here is a look at who is still left on the board:
3 star tight end Jake Overman from Servite HS, CA is scheduled to visit the Huskies in a few weeks (after rescheduling for the Huskies game). Listed at 6’3” and around 235 pounds the Huskies are looking at adding 3 tight ends in the 2020 class (they will probably lose Hunter Bryant to early graduation after this year). Overman is a Will Dissly and Drew Sample tight end who projects to be a good blocker and capable catcher of the ball. Overman has offers from Oregon State, Cal, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah. The Huskies look to have the inside track for Overman and they will try to lock him up after his visit. Here is a look at some of his highlights:
After watching last nights game most fans should realize why the Huskies are targeting another wideout in 4 star Gary Bryant from Centennial HS, CA. The Huskies desperately need some more difference makers on offense, and more specifically on the wide receiver corps. Bryant has 4.4 speed and is listed at 5’11” and 170 pounds. The Huskies have some stiff competition for Bryant in USC, ASU, and Oklahoma. The Huskies are already bringing in 3 bigger wideouts and they really would like to add a John Ross type receiver. The Huskies officially hosted Bryant last week and it sounds like they will be in it until the end (he will make his decision at the Army All American Bowl). Here is a look at some of Bryant’s highlights:
The Huskies are also in the market for a defensive end/lineman and the player they are pursuing the most is 3 star defensive lineman Lance Keneley from Mission Viejo HS, CA. Keneley who is listed at 6’5” and around 240 pounds has the size the Huskies are looking for along their line (long levers). The Huskies are battling Utah and UCLA for his services. The Huskies are also after 4 star defensive lineman Xavier Carlton from Juan Diego Catholic HS, UT. Carlton who is listed at 6’7” and around 270 pounds is a huge player along the defensive lineman and the Huskies are battling the likes of Cal, USC, Oregon, and Utah for his commitment. The Huskies will officially host both players later in the year. Here is a look at Carlton’s highlights:
That is all for now and as always Dawg fans follow me @asieverkropp.
