Cory Littleton racked up 12 tackles in the Rams’ dramatic win over the Saints, marking the second-highest total of his career, regular season or postseason. He had 13 in week 1 at Oakland this year.
With LA headed to the Super Bowl, Littleton has been removed from the Pro Bowl roster. Giants safety Michael Thomas — the top alternate — has been added to fill the void.
Marcus Peters had three tackles in the Rams win. He also reignited a feud with Sean Payton, rushing onto the field after the game-winning field goal and having to be separated from Payton. One bit of clarification, though: although Peters said he would come back and “share a bowl of gumbo” with Payton after their week 9 matchup, he doesn’t even like gumbo — he prefers goulash.
Danny Shelton was a healthy inactive for the Patriots. He had been a healthy scratch three weeks in a row fairly late in the regular season before earning a spot the past few weeks up through their win over the Chargers last weekend.
