Last night several Husky signees and targets participated in the Polynesian Bowl and several of them made some noise during the game.
Four-star inside linebacker Daniel Heimuli from Menlo Atherton HS, CA had six tackles and a sack on his way to winning defensive MVP. Heimuli is scheduled to visit UW next weekend and has been rumored to be a Husky lean for a while but has visited Oregon, and may visit Alabama and UCLA as well.
Four-star defensive end and Husky signee Laiata Latu out of Jesuit HS, CA also had six tackles to tie Heimuli and inside linebacker and Husky signee Alphonso Tuputala from Federal Way HS, WA.
Defensive tackle and Husky signee Noa Ngalu from Menlo Atherton HS, CA also had a good game, showing his quickness and being disruptive all game.
On the offensive end, Husky wide receiver target Puka Nacua from Orem HS, UT caught a touchdown pass and ended the night with six catches and 93 yards, ending up as the offensive MVP. Nacua is scheduled to visit UW as well and will join with Heimuli next weekend on Montlake.
Overall it was a good showing for Husky targets and signees across the board.

In other news, Husky coaches are still in the process of trying to wrap up the 2019 class and have recently extended some offers. Here is a look at some of the players who were offered:
Three-star defensive back Kenyon Stewart from North Shore HS, TX was offered last week when Coach Lake and Harris visited his school. Stewart is listed at 5’11 and around 160 pounds and currently has offers from the likes of Utah, Texas Tech, Louisville, and TCU. The Huskies are looking to add one more DB and if Stewart visits Montlake you have to like the Huskies’ chances. Here is a look at his highlights:
Three-star safety Dorian Hewett, also from North Shore HS, received his Husky offer when Husky coaches visited his school. Hewett is listed at 5’11” and around 180 pounds and currently holds offers from the likes of Utah, Baylor, and Syracuse. (North Shore also happens to have the #1 running back in the nation next year, Zachary Evans, and he currently has a Husky offer. He recently named his top ten and the Huskies were included. Here is a look at Hewett’s highlights:
Next weekend the Huskies will be officially hosting Nacua, Ngalu, and Heimuli, among others.
That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
