Recruiting Roundup

This weekend kicked off the start of the Husky home season and also the beginning of the Huskies’ official visit season.

Coach Pete and his staff hosted 5-star Husky target Kyle Ford out of Orange Lutheran HS, CA. Ford is the #3 wideout in the nation according to 247sports. Listed at 6’2” and around 220 pounds, Ford is a bigger wideout that fits what the Husky coaches have been trying to add to the roster for the last several years. He has offers from around the country but has been rumored to be favoring USC while schools like Oregon, Michigan, and UW remain in contention. It sounds like Ford isn’t close to making his decision but the Huskies have a good shot to reel him in and this weekend was a crucial visit for their chances. Here are some of his highlights:

Recently, 4-star defensive end target Braden Trice out of Sandra Day O’Connor trimmed his list down to his final three schools: UW, Notre Dame, and Oregon. Trice is scheduled to visit UW on the 29th of September and will commit after that visit (he will visit Oregon before that date and has already visited Notre Dame). Trice is being recruited as a Buck by the Husky staff.

In the next few weeks the Huskies will host a few other propects, including 5-star wideout Bru McCoy out of Mater Dei HS, CA. He is rumored to be a heavy lean to USC. It sounds like he is going to visit on the 22nd of September and getting him on campus will be a huge deal.

That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
